At the heart of everything we do at Eight Oaks Farm Distillery is our commitment to help make our community a better place.

A part of that is our commitment to the growth of local jobs. We welcome our crew into our family and provide them a career where they can learn and grow.

Michele and her husband Ryan had their wedding reception at Eight Oaks in 2016, she and the Eight Oaks crew immediately had a connection and she joined us as a Brand Ambassador in 2017. She’s moved her way up to her current role as our Event Manager.

It’s an important part of our community work at Eight Oaks, and you’ll regularly find Michele working on plans or staging virtual or onsite events, as well as participating in community events. This includes our monthly food drives for Parkland C.A.R.E.S. Food Pantry

One of the best parts of her job is, “Getting out to meet our community and talk to anyone who will listen about how wonderful this company is!”

When she’s not at Eight Oaks you’ll find her spending time with her husband Ryan and their two dogs, Nessee and Lucy.

How Michele Leads at Eight Oaks

To Michele, you become a good leader by paying attention to other leaders and what they teach you.

It may not always be perfect but, “A leader that shows empathy, strength, and grit will be successful.”

Why Michele Works at Eight Oaks

Michele loves being a part of Eight Oaks’ leadership team because she’s able to work with, “some of the greatest people I have ever met.”

She’s grateful, “For this company and everything it stands for. I truly believe we are put in the places that we need, and that is how I found myself at Eight Oaks.”

A Quote that Guides Her Every Day

Michele tried, but couldn’t pick just one…

Be brave. Be awkward. Be kind.

Feel the fear and do it anyway!

Attract what you expect. Reflect what you desire.

Become what you respect. Mirror what you admire.

This wraps up our Women of Eight Oaks series. Let us know what you’d like to see in future blogs.

Cheers.
