Meet the Crew: Jesse

Jesse Tyahla was born in Allentown, PA, and grew up in Lehigh County, in Breinigsville. He graduated with a Bachelor’s in Science from Penn State, and later received his MBA from Lehigh University. 

As Eight Oaks’ Chief Financial Officer he’s responsible for financial strategy, and enjoys the challenge of balancing financial performance with the mission, vision, and operational objectives of Eight Oaks. 

Jesse is passionate about the future and potential at Eight Oaks, and as he says, there’s “a lot to love: the people, the process, the brand–all have huge potential and the ability to make a big impact in our community.”

Jesse married his high school sweetheart, Lia, and they have three kids: Isla, Finley, and Max, who inspire him through their kindness, creativity, imagination, and humor. They’re a constant reminder that, “I need to be the best version of myself so that they can grow up to be a better person than I will ever be.”

When he’s not working at Eight Oaks you’ll find Jesse enjoying the outdoors with his family, hunting, fishing, boating, or traveling with his wife, kids, and extended family. He also coaches soccer for all three little Tyahlas.

FUN FACTS

His ancestry is a mix of Eastern and Western Europe. Jesse’s father’s side can be traced back to a small town in Slovakia called Certizne, while his mother’s side is mostly Scottish, and they still have family in Scotland.

His favorite snack is the extra toasty Cheez-its, and he’s quite the moped repairman.
